A few days ago, China Copper held a June economic activity analysis meeting. Liu Jianping, member of the party group and deputy general manager of Chinalco, and secretary of the party committee and chairman of China Copper, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Xu Bo, assistant to the general manager of Chinalco, and deputy secretary and president of China Copper, presided over the meeting. The meeting emphasized that it is necessary to seize market dividends, release reform dividends, and keep a close eye on lean management dividends, to speed up and increase efforts to ensure that the particles are returned to warehouses, and to fully exceed the annual target tasks.
The meeting pointed out that from January to May, China Copper's total profit, ROE, and net profit attributable to the parent company exceeded the budget schedule target, the net profit exceeded the assessment schedule target, and the interest-bearing debt cost was the lowest in the group. The Peru Mining Phase II expansion project passed the environmental assessment. In addition to market dividends, reform dividends and lean management dividends are gradually being released: each business unit has reduced costs and increased efficiency and increased profits significantly; copper processing enterprises have turned losses into profits; lead and zinc smelting units have substantially reduced losses. However, there are still many problems and shortcomings in the occupation of the "two funds", the collection of accounts receivable, operating cash flow indicators, and loss-making corporate governance.
